Software Developer

PROXAUT S.r.l. is looking for a Software Developer with a passion for software development and a strong aptitude for innovation, to join our Software Department.

The selected candidate will become part of a young and collaborative team, contributing to the design and development of advanced software solutions for the management of a fleet of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs).

Main Responsibilities

The candidate will be involved in the following activities:

• Analysis and design: working with the team to analyse the system’s functional and non-functional requirements, defining effective and scalable technical solutions;
• Designing and developing complex software components using Java 17/21, ensuring code quality and compliance with development standards;
• Integration: integrating fleet management systems with other systems installed within the plant;
• Testing: performing unit, integration, and system tests to ensure the correct functionality of the developed software;
• Collaboration: working closely with other team members, analysts, testers, and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:

• a technical diploma or degree in Computer Science, Industrial Automation, or a related field;
• knowledge of Java programming;
• knowledge of microservices architecture and RESTful services;
• knowledge of SQL;
• knowledge of Git;
• at least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
• excellent knowledge of diagnostic and troubleshooting procedures;
• willingness to undertake occasional business trips in Italy and abroad;
• a collaborative attitude and strong team-working skills;
• excellent customer relationship skills;
• good knowledge of the English language.

Additional Preferred Qualifications and Skills

The following will be considered an advantage:

• previous experience in the industrial automation sector;
• analytical and problem-solving skills;
• flexibility and a smart, practical approach;
• knowledge of the Camel framework;
• experience in software development for traffic management systems;
• results orientation and proactivity.

Employment Contract

• Full-time, permanent contract;
• Gross annual salary starting from € 30,000. The remuneration package will be defined according to the candidate’s skills and experience, in compliance with salary transparency principles;
• Possibility of hybrid working, subject to assessment.
