Outdoor AGV solutions for industrial handling

In 2024, a long-standing Italian customer operating in the food preservation industry, with a specific focus on tomato processing, renewed its trust in PROXAUT after previously choosing two autonomous guided forklifts for its logistics operations.

For this new application, PROXAUT designed and manufactured a highly customized autonomous guided shuttle from the SH Shuttle series, model SH-W-C12 Outdoor. This unique project was developed to operate continuously across 3 work shifts, 7 days a week.

The vehicle is equipped with wire-guided navigation, a technology that ensures precise, reliable and safe movement even in challenging outdoor conditions, including rain, strong sunlight and adverse weather.

The outdoor AGV shuttle was designed to transport up to 12 pallets for tomato sauce containers, with a load capacity of up to 12,000 kg / 26,455 lbs. Its structure also includes a protective arched cover, designed to safeguard the load during outdoor travel.

Thanks to its outdoor configuration, this AGV can operate between production plants, yards and uncovered logistics areas, ensuring operational continuity, improved safety and optimized material flows.

With this solution, PROXAUT confirms its ability to develop tailor-made AGVs for complex industrial applications, delivering robust, reliable automation systems designed around each customer’s specific requirements.
