SPECIAL FORKS

Special forks are specifically designed based on the customer's needs and the final application type.

Special forks can be:

Single fork (Single-fork AGV): one fork for transporting crates, carts, platforms, etc.
Bilateral
Trilateral

Single-fork AGV: This is a loading solution with a single support surface, whose width can vary depending on the type of UDC. It is ideal for loading crates, wheeled carts, platforms, tanks, etc., and is also available in AISI 304 stainless steel for fresh food handling.

Bilateral AGVs: This is a loading solution ideal for narrow aisles and long or bulky loads. Bilateral autonomous guided vehicles belong to the VNA family (Very Narrow Aisle) and can reach support surfaces up to about 11 meters in height, extending the fork movement to both sides of the vehicle.

FAQ

What is the difference between a forklift with front forks and one with side forks?

Front forks are the most traditional and are fixed to the mast on the “front” side of the vehicle to load goods positioned in front of it.

Side forks, on the other hand, extend movement to the sides of the forklift and are the ideal solution for narrow aisles and long, bulky loads.

What is the difference between bilateral and trilateral forks?

When movement extends to both sides of the vehicle, the forks are called bilateral.

In contrast, when movement extends to all three sides of the vehicle, the forks are referred to as trilateral.
