The AGV has been designed and built to handle up to two load units (LUs) on two independent motorised roller conveyors and to transport pallets of sheet metal.
The AGV vehicle is controlled by a management program via a radio-frequency communication system and is able to move automatically through an induction wire-guided system.

How does the anti-collision safety system fitted on the AGV shuttle work?

The anti-collision laser system consists of a latest-generation sensor connected to the main safety control unit.
The main feature of this system is the possibility of setting different intervention areas according to requirements; each area consists of two different zones called the “Pre-alarm” area and the “Alarm” area.
The alarm area is contained within the pre-alarm area.
If an obstacle is detected in the pre-alarm area, the vehicle slows down; if the obstacle is not removed, the AGV vehicle stops immediately and also emits an acoustic signal to indicate its abnormal status.
