The AGV shuttle consists of a motorised roller conveyor capable of transporting up to 12 pallets, each weighing up to 1,200 kg.

The machine has been designed and built to transport pallets containing food products along a pre-set route entirely outdoors, using a wire-guided navigation system.

The AGV is capable of autonomously controlling the opening and closing of the roller shutter, which serves to protect the load from rain and bad weather.

The roller shutter cover has been specifically designed to allow the AGV to travel outdoors even in bad weather.

A weather station, constantly connected to the internet, transmits data to the AGV and monitors outdoor conditions; this system prevents the AGV from operating outdoors in the event of hailstorms, strong gusts of wind or snowfall.

Why was this outdoor AGV with a weather station communication system developed?

The AGV with powered roller conveyor was designed to connect two plants belonging to the same customer via an outdoor route, even though they are separated by a road.
Thanks to the introduction of the AGV, the connection has become continuous, scheduled and safe.
The AGV shuttle transfers pallets of finished products (savoury snacks and small bakery products) from the production plant to the customer’s warehouse.
The connection to the weather station prevents the AGV from operating outdoors in the event of strong wind gusts, severe thunderstorms and snowfall.
